Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

​I am an out of network provider for insurance. I am happy to provide a superbill with all the relevant information for you to submit to insurance for reimbursement. 

What if I take medication?

I am pleased to work in collaboration with numerous trusted psychiatrists who can provide medication management. 

Where is your office located? ​

​I am currently practicing entirely virtually due to the COVID 19 pandemic. I use a HIPPA compliant telehealth platform. 

​What is the process of getting started?

At the beginning of therapy I suggest scheduling three initial sessions to assess your presenting issues, get to know one another, and decide if we are a good match. During the third session I will provide my clinical impression and make suggestions for further treatment. Duration of treatment is quite variable depending on the person, their goals, and the nature of the presenting issue. I request that you commit to weekly sessions. 

​What is your cancellation policy?

​I ask that you please allow 48 hours notice for cancellations. I bill for the cost of the session with less than 48 hours notice. If you use insurance and miss a session, the cost is the amount the insurance company would reimburse for the session, not just the copay. 

What should I do in case of emergency?

​If you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
